1. Right-click on the Windows Start icon, and then click on the File Explorer option.
2. Click on the View menu tab at the top.
3. Click on the Options.
4. Select the radio button of Double-click to open an item (single-click to select).
5. Click on the Apply button, and then click on the OK button.
6. Close the File Explorer window.
7. Type mouse settings in the Windows search bar at the bottom left.
8. Click on the Mouse settings from the search result to open it.
9. Click on the Additional mouse options.
10. Under the Double-click speed, drag the slider to change the speed of the mouse.
11. Click on the Apply button, and then click on the OK button.
12. Close the Settings window.
13. Click on the Windows search bar at the bottom left and type Registry Editor.
14. Click on the Registry Editor App to open it.
15. Click on the Yes button to allow permission.
16. Double-click on the HKEY_Current_USER folder.
17. Click on the Control Panel folder to expand it, and then click on the Mouse folder.
18. Double-click on the MouseHoverWidth on the right side. If you find that the Value data is different, then write 4 to set its value, and click on the OK button.
19. Similarly, check the Value data of MouseHoverHeight, and DoubleClickWidth. The value should be set to 4.
20. Close the registry editor window.
